Data collected & purpose of collection

We collect information to process your submissions, requests for information, improve customers’ online experience, supply information to those who  have expressed an interest and for record keeping. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

When you send a submission to us we collect your name and email address which are entered onto the site’s database which is password protected. You have can opt in to receive emails in connection with the Your Stories in Song project and or general emails from Milton Hide.

You may at any time ask to be removed from the mailing list and or elect not to receive marketing information from us. All of our marketing emails are sent from a password protected database with Mailchimp.

Data retention

We will retain customer’s data for as long as they are an active customer or for the minimum required length of time to comply with legal obligations.  For enquiries and those who have asked to receive marketing communications from us or have expressed an interest we will retain basic contact data for a reasonable length of time or until we receive a request to remove. You are entitled to ask for a copy of the information held about you at any time by contacting us. We may charge a small fee for this.
