Do I Regret?

writing hand

[As a young Mum, I wrote this poem from my heart. – Debbie Milner]

Do I regret, having my children very young?
Playing, Laughing, running in the sun.
Feeling full of energy, hair blowing in the wind.
Holding their happy faces with arms stretched to the sky.

Do I regret, not seeing the world,
As I tended, to stop the cries I heard.
Staying up very late to wrap thoughtful presents,
Before that special birthday date or making that feature cake.

Do I regret, being left with them so young,
As a single parent, being both Dad and Mum.
Sometimes feeling alone and sad.
Keeping calm to not get mad.

Any regrets are washed away,
As you see them grow, day by day.
So you see I am very proud,
I would not change a thing, I say out LOUD.
